VOLUNTEER SUPPORT

Pacesetters Awards

PACE relies almost exclusively on volunteer support for financing and carrying out its various activities. Each June, PACE honours and awards volunteers (individuals and corporations) who have given unstintingly of their time and effort. The Pacesetter Awards are presented at the Annual Strawberry Tea and Auction, along with other awards and bursaries.

Other Awards

The Executive Committee of P.A.C.E. (Canada) by majority vote and approval of the Board of Directors, may present an annual Founders Award to any person who has made significant contributions to the objectives of PACE through personal efforts in the community over a minimum five (5) year period. This individual will be selected by the committee mandated by the Board to solicit and evaluate nominations.

Living Legacy Award

Recently, PACE has introduced the Living Legacy Project through which families are able to give support for Early Childhood Education scholarships in their family name assigned to Canadian or to Jamaican educational institutions.
