The following is a photo essay of the the April 18, 2008 launch festivities at Devon House in Kingston Jamaica of Tech de Bus 2. Officiated by the Hon. Andrew Holness Jamaica’s Minister of Education, with a ribbon cutting ceremony by Lady Lorna Golding the Prime Minister’s wife.  Cultural programs were given by children from Maxfield Park Children’s Home and Holy Trinity Basic School. 


Other dignitaries included: Canada’s High Commissioner to Jamaica Denis Kingsley, Dr. Maureen Samms-Vaughan Chairman of the Early Childhood Commission and Master of Ceremonies Ms. Evadne Vennor.


And of course the people that made it all possible PACE Canada’s

Diana Burke, Past-President and initiator of the mobile computer lab concept and design

and Lorna King President.

In concert with the bus launch PACE conducted a Field Trip where 43 adopted Basic schools across the island were visited during the week.
