Call For Board Volunteers

PACE Canada is very excited as we look forward to our 40th year in 2027 of supporting Early Childhood Education in Canada and Jamaica.

Joining our Board provides the unique opportunity to influence our future strategies, collaborate with other dedicated leaders and make a lasting impact.

Positions available are:

  • Membership,
  • Fundraising
  • Communications

Directors must be members over 18 years of age, with power under law to contract.  A Director is elected for a 2-year term which can be renewed at the end of each term.

Interested members should submit a resume and brief cover letter outlining area of interest, experience on boards or volunteering and any governance experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Each position will be responsible for chairing one of six Standing Committees. The other 3 Committees are Adopt-A-School, Education & Development, and Children Issues.

  • Each Chair of a Standing Committee shall assume overall responsibility for carrying out the strategies and activities as defined by the Board of Directors;
  • Submit to the Board for approval the committee’s plans;
  • Submit to the Board for approval the Committee’s budget for the next fiscal year;
  • Submit monthly updates to the Executive Committee;
  • Submit an annual written report for inclusion in the Board’s report to the membership at the Annual General Meeting;
  • Meetings shall be held as the Committee Chair shall decide;
  • Each Committee shall keep minutes of its meetings.
