Visits to our PACE Adopted Schools

It has become a tradition that every two years the board and members of the organization who are able to spend one week in Jamaica visit some 50-70 of the Basic Schools we support.

It gives us a snapshot of schools in the various parishes and allows us to put a face to the names and to meet “our children”.

These visits are coordinated with the help of the Early Childhood Commission and their Development officers who take us to the various schools.

Up hills, down into valleys, along many winding roads, from the country to the inner city, their staff that take us to meet the principals and teachers do a stellar job.

And it is always a pleasure to meet the children who share their songs and show us their work.

Jamaica is as always moving forward to make sure every child succeeds and these visits remind us of the importance of our contributions.
