Marcia Anderson, Registered Early Childhood Educator with a passion for supporting young children and their families. I currently work in a childcare centre in
Toronto and a part-time instructor at a private college.
I am a lifelong learner, who believes in educating one’s self to remain relevant in your field of work, for personal growth and development. I attended Seneca College and received a diploma in Early Childhood Education with honors, Early Childhood Education Post Diploma Administration Certificate, and a Bachelor in Child Development.
I completed a Masters in Education and continue to participate in professional development opportunities, and am a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario, a member of the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario.
I have facilitated several workshops for children and families in Toronto and Markham areas.
Currently, I am a board member of the Destiny Gospel Centre leadership team and the guest services team leader. I am a member of the Canadian Jamaican Diaspora Christian Alliance (CJDCA) and a former recording secretary. I am also a mentor with Sankofa Youth Mentorship program.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially my granddaughter and during my free time, I love to photograph people, events, and nature.
