George Brown Workshop in Jamaica

 In Children, Education, Events

In keeping with the partnership between PACE Canada, George Brown College and The Early Childhood Commission, this past January George Brown College hosted a workshop titled Classroom Arrangements and Engagement for Children Birth to Three years and Three years to Five years.

The workshop was presented twice in the one day and was attended by more than 100 participants who included Practitioners, Principals and Developmental Officers. At the end of the session when asked to reflect on what they had learned today and their own practices, What is that one thing that you want to change first thing Monday morning would be? some responses were:

“I am going to take my children outside more so they learn more about nature with a hands on approach”,

“I am going to hug my children more and smile”,   “

I want the children to have fun at school while they learn”

“I learned that there has to be more patience displayed from the adults towards the children”

We could not have been prouder for the outcomes reached by the participants.
